  • Mountain Side Podcast blog Ep.#190, where we dive into the adrenaline-charged world of combat sports with none other than Chris Camozzi, the newly crowned BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship) Cruiser Weight World Champion. Join us as we explore Chris's journey, his thoughts on the sport, and his upcoming plans.

In this latest episode, we were thrilled to welcome back fan-favorite Chris Camozzi. Chris has just added a new accolade to his impressive career - as a BKFC world championship. Known for his toughness and down-to-earth personality, Chris joined us in the studio to share his world of bare-knuckle boxing, life beyond the ring, and what the future holds for him as a champion.

Chris Camozzi: Champion Inside and Out Chris Camozzi is not just a champion in the ring; he's also a cherished friend and an exceptional person. His humility remains intact despite his newfound title. Reflecting on his career shift to bare-knuckle boxing, Chris candidly discusses why he chose BKFC over other combat sports organizations. It largely boiled down to timing and financial opportunity, as Chris humorously admits. Yet, his influence has undoubtedly helped BKFC gain a stronger foothold locally and gain more attention globally.

Reflections on Victory In the ring, the stakes are perilous and the competition fierce. Chris’s recent victory captivated us all, marked by a stunning first-round knockout. But as he recounted the experience, he reminded us that it wasn’t just about the belts or glory. It was about proving something to himself, to stop just short of iconic boxers for inspiration, like Jack Dempsey, adding that the famed slugger’s legacy continues to inspire him.

Navigating the World of Bare Knuckle Fighting Chris sheds light on the realities of bare-knuckle fighting. It’s a world different from the glitzy ring lights of traditional boxing or the octagons of UFC. With no gloves, the margin for error is slim, and the room for strategy is paramount. Each punch and every round is a testament to the limits of human endurance and determination.

Living the Champion's Life Beyond the ring, the life of a champion is a balance of training, promotions, and occasionally stepping into the spotlight at events and interviews. Chris enjoys his time in Colorado, a place abundant with champions, having produced notable combat sports figures over the years. His championship status now places him in the same conversations with some of history’s greatest fighters.

Eye on the Future Chris eyes another bout, potentially with high-profile names like Jake Paul. While acknowledging Paul’s contribution to the combat sports business, Chris is keen on proving himself against other worthy opponents. His career has been a journey of persistence, and he’s not quite ready to hang up his gloves just yet.

As our episode with Chris Camozzi wraps up, it’s clear that he’s in the fighting game not just for the wins, but for the love of the sport. Chris is a testament to hard work, grit, and the reward of staying true to one's path. We are eager to see his continued success in BKFC and beyond. Until next time, Chris, your victory inspires us all, and your story is one we’re privileged to share. Thank you for joining us for this episode.
